What is a sales funnel & how does it work?

Every business needs a Sales Funnel to be in the long run competition. The sales funnel is a useful model for visualizing the customer journey from initial awareness all the way through conversion. 

Sales funnel is a core concept of digital marketing. Sales funnel is also called “customer funnel”, “marketing funnel”, “purchase funnel” or “conversion funnel”.

There are four basic stages in a sales funnel.

Interest:-

In this stage, some people will take interest in your product and will click on your content or advertisement where you will offer them some free ebooks, free tools, case-study, newsletters and take them to your landing page where some people will sign up and some people will leave. These people are suspects we don’t know if they will buy or not. Now you have some people who have signed up on your landing page to get the deal and you also got their email id and name as well.

Desire:-

In this stage, email marketing will take place to come up with your potential clients. These people are your prospect. In this stage, we nurture your audience by sending them emails regarding more free tools or eBooks or can ask their query what they want to know and it will keep them engaged with your products or services. It will take your audience to your sales page, free consultation, free trial, or demo.

Action:-

This is the last stage of the sales funnel where your potential client will take action. So make an incredible offer to your leads that inspires them to act. In this stage, you will get your loyal client which has been filtered out through all sales to funnel stages and this customer really wants your products or services and will be moved on towards shopping cart, payment system, review & referrals.

After this process keeps in touch with your audience through drip marketing. Thank them for purchasing and ask for their feedback. Nurture them for upcoming offers, latest content & updates, and involve them in your social sphere. also, you can re-target your left audience who have not purchased your product or services with drip marketing.
